Local Area

Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park has something for everyone with fantastic routes for walking, hill walking, running, cycling, climbing and wild swimming. The West Highland Way passes Altquhur Byre and both the John Muir Way and Rob Roy Way are very close by.

The views from Altquhur Byre are incredible with The Campsie Fells, Conic Hill and the Luss Hills all visible from the grounds.

Cyclists can access the national cycle route 7 from the cottage as well as some stunning local walks, runs and cycles through the forestry and along the lochside.

We are a mile from the picturesque village of Drymen, which has lots of places to eat and some fantastic local shops.
